Nicole

Ever know you were doing a bad thing, but pushed aside your conscious and went right along doing it anyways?

Well this story sits in my stomach as one of those types that could go either way.

You see it all started when I met my friend Joe. Joe was a kind hearted soul, who became a good friend of mine. Perhaps this is one of my faults. I tend to think a lot of people are my friends when they do not share that same sentiment...

Anyways, Joe had a friend named Nicole. Joe, on numerous occasions would mention how he felt that Nicole was his soul mate and that the two of them were meant for each other. When you see the two of them interact, you can see what Joe is talking about. They have that perfect blend of love and hate in their relationship that makes them work. The only problem was that Nicole, for all that I could gather, did not share those same intimate feelings as Joe.

So that is the history of it all. I would become close to Nicole because I would hang out with Joe all the time. Both were interesting people to hang out with in their own ways. They focused more on politics then i would bother with, but that did not make them boring or anything of the sort either. The enjoyed earthly things, and for that I would label them both as "Hippies."

Fast forward to my brother and Joe's birthday celebration. Joe calls me up and works out a way for our whole gang to get limo access and ride out to the Dallas Bull (a country club) like rock stars. How could we pass that up? We had a pretty big group for this event too. I mean, who would want to miss this opportunity? I sure as hell did not. So as usual in my party days, we went to some random person's house and got all liquored up before the limo ride. Hell, we were drinking in the limo as well. Rock stars.

Stories that start out with me heavily drinking never seem to go well for me, but this time I suppose it was not a complete train wreck. It could have soured my friendship with Joe, but...what doe is done. The funny thing was, this was all dreamed up through Joe's friend, but after he told me I invited all my friends and we pretty much took over the limo space. We run this town! Sorta, but not really.

Anyways, we get to the club and we even have our very own VIP section roped off with limited access and even more alcohol inside. Yeah, a bunch of us were getting sloppy drunk, including Nicole and myself. I had always enjoyed her company and she was a pretty attractive female. I did not know how she felt about me, but I would soon find out.

Everyone was doing their own thing. People were dancing, people were drinking, some were doing both. in the end everyone was having a good time. I grabbed Nicole and escorted her out to the dance floor. At this time the two of us were really feeling the effects of the booze. We were bumping into people in the dance floor, but we were having fun doing it. I wish I had better composure when i was intoxicated, but usually I get caught up in the moment. One thing led to another, and before I knew it, the two of us were making out.

Now, to get one thing perfectly clear here, neither of us were doing anything wrong. We were both single, and just enjoying the moment. the thing that kills me here is that this was someone that my friend was fawning over for a long time. I felt bad after the fact, but at the time I had no problems kissing this girl. Hey, she was kissing me back. I almost never get this far!

Still, somewhere in the back of my head I knew this was not such a great idea...but that did not stop us from hanging out for the rest of the night. I had her pinned up against the wall at one point and was grabbing up on everything. We were causing a scene that is for sure. One complaint I do have is that Nicole was a smoker and kissing someone that smokes does not the leave the best aftertaste in ones mouth. Still, that did not stop me from committing the act at that time. I was too drunk too bother with such small discrepancies.

I could almost feel the dead stare of Joe from behind me. He was drunk as well, but you could tell he was a little disturbed by what was going on. He actually went up to me and told me he had a problem with the two of us hooking up. I wanted to tell him to go screw off, but that just is not my personality. Nicole got real drunk and was lying in Joe's lap by the end of the night and that was that...that night.

The two of us did not even call each other up to talk about what happened.  I guess we both came to our senses the next day, or even better, maybe she forgot it even happened. Who knows!

Fast forward to that New Years Eve party. I invited Joe and company to the party I was attending.

Heh.

The Spanish people were not ready for that. Joe and his gang are all white, and I do not judge people, but they look sketchy at first glance. The party was not disturbed by any means, but you could tell some of the people there did not approve of how they looked.

In any case, we got drunk again, and the two of us were back to our old habits. When the ball dropped I did not have anyone to kiss, so guess what I did? Yeah, we made out that night too. Joe gave me the same speech that night too. This time, Nicole was so drunk that she needed to be taken home.

Alcohol is fun.
